Objectives of this Role:
Work on a wide range of projects and media, using various computer software to visualize and develop innovative graphic designs that meet business goals.
Obtain input from management, ensuring designs meet organizational standards and brand expectations, express ideas accurately, and represent the company or client appropriately.
Work independently and cooperatively on multiple projects with the teams, meeting deadlines and budget constraints, and scheduling project implementation based on workload.
Examine existing processes, identifying flaws and creating solutions to improve design capabilities.
Responsibilities:
Study design briefs and determine requirements.
Collaborate and brainstorm, with multiple teams or clients for a wide range of materials that may include packages, product design, presentations, web pages, signage, newsletters, and marketing materials.
Schedule projects and define budget constraints.
Conceptualize visuals based on requirements.
Prepare rough drafts and present ideas.
Develop concepts by hand or with software, and execute original content determining ideal usage of color, text, font style, imagery, and layout for each graphic.
Develop logos, brochures, flyers, booklets, social media designs and other designs using software.
Create packaging designs for products, for boxes and ancillary packaging items efficiently and on schedule.
Combining and merging different images together.
Test graphics across various media.
Amend designs after feedback.
Work with team members and creative director to produce final design.
Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand.
Manage the design and uploading process of all project material, understanding best practices for using a content management system.
Performing other duties as may be assigned by the executive director.
Skills and Qualifications:
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, art, or similar discipline
2+ years’ professional experience with graphic design software, including Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, etc. preferably with a creative or marketing agency
Proven experience with graphic design, with a strong portfolio of work
Organizational and time-management skills for meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Basic 3D software knowledge.
Aritos CAD software experience is preferred.
Exceptional creativity and innovative design skills, passion for design – creative thinker.
Working knowledge of CSS3, HTML5, and JavaScript a plus
Photography experience and proficiency with photo-editing software
Excellent communication and presentation skills
